A First Course in Real Analysis, M.H. Protter and C.B. Morrey, 2nd ed.

Material

Sequences: Sec. 9.3,9.4
Multivariable Calculus: Ch 7, 8, 14, 16
Metric Spaces: Ch. 6, Ch. 13, 15

Some material will be omitted, depending on progress.

Grading

15% HW,  7 total, lowest 2 dropped, posted every other week, starting from second week.
35% Highest midterm grade.
    Midterm I : Th, February 17 during class.
    Midterm II: Th, March 24 during class.
50% Final, Tu, May 3, 1-3PM (tentative finals list from registrar's office).
Rescheduling requests must be done and approved by OSSA.

Letter conversion of accumulated grade

A's are for   90% and higher, B's are for  80% and higer, etc., F is for less than 60%.
Grade modifiers: 95% > A- >= 90% > B+ >= 87% > B >= 83% > B- >= 80%, etc.
