WELCOME

Drs. Aggison & Washington are Associate Professors-in-Residence within the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology. Dr. Aggison is also the Associate Dean of the Graduate School. They arrived at UCONN on June 1, 2006. As part of their appointment, they are charged with assisting UCONN in their outreach endeavors. In particular, assisting the University in achieving its goals as outlined in, “The Report of the Diversity Action Committee".

Aggison & Washington have also developed a Summer Research Program for Minority Students and work with the Northeast Alliance for Graduate Education and the Professoriate. Although their appointments are within the Department of Molecular and Cell Biology, they visit many departments across the Storrs campus from varied disciplines in an effort to assist these departments in increasing diversity.
