LIZ DIDAN WINS BEST NEW ARCHER AWARD
Congratulations to UCONN archer Liz Didan for winning the best new archer award for women's recurve at this year’s United States Intercollegiate Archery Championships (USIACS). The Best New Archer Award is given to the best new archers, men and women, compound and recurve, at the tournament. A new archer is an archer who first picks up a bow at the beginning of the fall semester. This year’s bows were donated by Martin Bows and Win & Win.
UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT ARCHERS MAKE U.S. ALL-ACADEMIC ARCHERY TEAM:
Congratulations go out to University of Connecticut archers, Chris Pelletier
and Victoria Flagg who have made the College Archery Program's 2008
All-Academic Archery Team. The All-Academic team is comprised of full-time
students who have maintained a GPA of 3.0 or higher and finished in the top
25% of their divisions at U.S. Indoor Nationals.

CHRIS PELLETIER MAKES ARCHERY ALL-EAST TEAM
Congratulations to University of Connecticut sophomore, Chris Pelletier. By
placing third overall at the Indoor Nationals, the Adam Wheatcroft Tournament and the Eastern University collegiate tournament, Chris was named to the All-East archery team.

UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT TO SEND TEAM TO U.S. INTERCOLLEGIATE ARCHERY
CHAMPIONSHIPS (USIAC) IN MAYS LANDING, NJ
The University of Connecticut plans to send 6 members of their archery team
to USIAC. This year, the competition will be held in Mays Landing, NJ on May
16 - 18. The top three winners in both men and women, compound and recurve,
will participate in the World University Archery Championships to be held in
July in Taipei.
