Andrew Peters is a journalism and business major in his junior year at the University of Connecticut. He grew up in Plymouth, New Hampshire with his four younger siblings, and took the generous offer to study in sunny Connecticut upon graduation.

When Andrew grows up, he plans to be the general manager of the Boston Red Sox or, if that team’s taken, another respectable franchise. Should the chips fall some other way, he hopes to be a writer, financial advisor, graphic designer or rock star.

Until then, it’s time for Andrew to get his money’s worth at UConn.

At school, Andrew works at the Daily Campus as a writer and copy editor when he's not hanging out in his apartment, watching Entourage and trying to cook. He enjoys playing guitar, going on misadventures, grilling and improving his racquetball game.

Andrew’s other interests outside of school include sports, concerts, snowboarding, pitching mechanics, traveling and hiking. He hopes to one day hike the New Hampshire leg of the Appalachian Trail and climb all of that state’s 4,000-foot peaks.

One day he will likely return there with his family to live next to a lake. In his later years, Andrew might be found reading a very old book by a fireplace.
