Educational Technology - U.S. History - Maritime History - University of Connecticut

I am an educational technologist and lecturer in history. I teach 28 workshops a year helping students learn how to use academic information technologies in a pedagogically - responsible way. Additionally, I teach four college-credit classes a year in United States history and maritime piracy.

My research has focused on the role of religion in the life of seafarers, maritime piracy, and, more recently, the Gaspee Affair. Currently I am researching the experience of students in the fully-online learning environment.
